A Sunday-evening youth group for 4th, 5th and 6th-graders that meets during the school year.

Vacation Bible School (2011 VBS Info)
One week of morning activities and mission projects for children/youth, three through high school age.  Parent volunteers are always needed and welcome!  (Child care is available for children for the adult volunteers plus, there will be no registration fee for older children in the family who participate in the week).

Musical Opportunities
For children in kindergarten through 5th grade, Children's Choir meets from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall (prior to Sunday School). Preschool choir meets at 9:25 in the Fellowship Hall. The children's choirs meet during the school year, and do not meet over the summer.

Family-oriented Activities
Our Family Ministries Committee plans monthly activities for faith-building and fellowship. Check out our upcoming schedule of events

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Sunday School Classes always need snack items.  Please check with individual teachers for their needs.
  • Sunday School volunteers in the classrooms are always needed and appreciated.  Check with our Sunday School Superintendent
  • Adults with musical talent, we sure need you!
  • Persons who are willing to make costumes for special events.
  • Adults to be an "extra pair of hands" during the holidays are needed as well.

Weekday Programs for Children
St. Mark's Early Childhood Center offers childcare for working parents, a morning preschool program and a five-hour daily kindergarten. Click here for further information.

Christian Education Sunday
This Sunday will highlight the educational opportunities provided by St. Mark's. The teaching staff will be consecrated into service and Bibles will be presented to the third grade students.

Christmas Program
The entire Sunday morning Sunday School will be invited to participate in this special Christmas presentation ( 3 years through 6th grade).  Notification of the date and time will be sent home in advance.

Blessing of the Children
A meaningful service for children and parents.  A time on Christmas Eve to begin the celebration of the Savior's birth.  At this early evening service, each family will receive the traditional "St. Mark's ornament" for their tree as well as prayers for the children and adults.

Teacher Appreciation/Farewell Sunday
This is a time in May for the congregation to say "thank you" and "farewell" to the volunteer teaching staff for their nine months of dedication and caring.

Elementary Summer Camps
We encourage the children of St. Mark's to participate in the Desert Southwest Conference camping program.  This ministry helps students focus on their relationship with God and make connections with peers and counselors that will help them know they are valued and loved. For more information, visit the South District camping page of the conference website.
