PROJECT
NEWS:
Over
75 St. Mark's members joined with people from the
other coalition churches to attend our first Habitat
House "wall-raising" ceremony on Jan. 6, 2001.
Twenty-five
plus members stayed to work after the event. We were
able to raise the four exterior walls on the first
day!
During
the first three weeks, St. Mark's members accumulated
over 240 hours of labor toward the completion of
the family home.
The
home awaited inspection of the interior wiring and
the exterior stucco prep.
The
stucco work was then contracted out, and was followed
by hanging the drywall.
These
pictures show various stages of the project.
St.
Mark's Quilters Group also contributed their time
and talents to make several quilts.
The
Dedication Ceremony was held June 2, 2001.
