held from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Children
and adults are invited to celebrate
mid-summer with fellowship, classes and ice cream! Classes are
open to members and non-members alike!
Classes
will be followed each week at 8:00 p.m. by free ice cream,
lemonade and fellowship on the church patio. Mingle with old and new friends!
You
are invited to attend any of these mid-summer activities.

CLASSES
FOR ADULTS
The Spiritual Heart of Healing — In this class, we will use selected
readings from the book entitled The Spiritual Heart of Our Health
to explore the link between spiritual healing and modern medicine.
The class is being co-sponsored by the Adult Education Committee and
the Health and Wholeness Ministry.

Exploring Membership — Persons who are considering membership at St. Mark’s are invited to attend these sessions. Topics covered include: our spiritual faith journeys, beliefs about God, Christ and the Holy Spirit, the Bible and its interpretation, history and organization of the United Methodist Church, information about our congregation and our spiritual gifts.
Those choosing to join St. Mark’s upon completion of the class may be received into membership during worship on Sunday, August
9th.

VeggieTales: Lessons From The Sock Drawer! —
When Edmund Storch writes to Bob and Larry with a big problem, Larry must dig deep into the “Veggie Vault” to find a solution. But what is the “Veggie Vault’ and why does Larry hide it in his sock drawer? And how did a sock puppet and a story-telling donkey get in there, too?
Join the whole VeggieTales crew for this unique collection of Veggie shorts that teaches kids everywhere that “a happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing” (Proverbs 17:22)
