As
Christians, we are all called by God to be ministers, to
love one another as God has loved us, to be in community
with each other, and to offer healing and wholeness in
Christ to those in our surrounding community.
Through
the Holy Spirit, we are gifted and empowered with spiritual
gifts, skills and talents to be used in "the building
up of the Body" - in other words, to take care
of each other. Through our caring, we express the love
of
Christ.
St.
Mark's United Methodist Church Caring Ministries will share
Christ's love through ministries of prayer; hospitality;
spiritual, emotional and practical support; nurture; enrichment;
and education.
All
these ministries will provide safe havens of loving acceptance
where people may explore their relationships with God,
hear their call, discover their gifts and respond in loving
service. May God be glorified through our caring.
